I didn’t want to communicate anything on any social media site in any way about 9/11 today, but having already failed that, I might as well go for broke. Here’s the only eloquent thing I’ve read or heard about the attacks all day, courtesy of Megan Amram. It may not delve too deeply into the consequences of the attacks or the way in which society has managed to entire quash any hope of legitimate and meaningful memory of 9/11 through the widespread use of the attack as a branding tool (Southwest Airlines) or in a dog-eat-dog fight for the day’s undoubtedly elevated ratings (every major news network), but it does say something about something, and recently I’ve started to feel like that’s really something.
